Call for Volunteers

The International Snow Science Workshop (ISSW), would like to invite individuals from Fernie and the surrounding area to volunteer at ISSW in 2021 taking place on October 3 – 8, 2021 in Fernie, BC Canada. We expect 1,000+ delegates from around the world to attend.

Volunteers for the ISSW in 2021 are critical to the success of the Workshop. They are the first contact for many of the attendees, and we rely on them to welcome foreign participants and to foster a spirit of helpfulness and hospitality. There are also many “behind the scenes” duties to make this event a success.

As well as the week of the conference, there will be volunteer opportunities to assist in set-up of the venues beforehand, assist with evening Social Events, Field Trips and an assortment of other tasks.

The average shift will be 5-6 hours, some may be more depending on your role. A volunteer manual and training session will be provided before the start of the Conference.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated to help ensure the success of the Conference and to provide delegates with an exceptional experience at the ISSW in 2021 in Fernie, BC.
